On the Saturday before Easter, my Granny, the boys' "Great Granny," and her friend, Walter, came for a visit. Granny makes the best homemade desserts EVER. She brought us some cute and yummy "bunny cupcakes;" white with vanilla and cream cheese frosting. They had cute little bunnies on top. Holden was a big fan. :)
Granny hadn't seen Hunter since Christmas time. He sat in her lap for a little while and studied her and Walter very seriously.
It was a really pretty spring day, so we took a walk down the street to the park. Grammy pulled the boys in the wagon. I love seeing them in there together. They love it! It's crazy to me that it's been a year since Hunter was a tiny baby, and Holden would ask, "How long until Hunter can ride with me?"
It was the perfect spring day for a kite. Blue skies and a strong breeze.
They had it soaring in no time.
Hunter, Granny, and I watched from the picnic table. (Yes I am BEYOND due for a hair cut and highlights! Just one of the many things on my "to-do-list" for when school gets out. 16 days and one hour...but who's counting?!) :)
Hunter LOVES the great outdoors, just like his big brother. He has been a muddy, grass-stained mess as of late. Hoping he figures out he is capable of walking soon, for the sake of his knees! He had a great time swinging, "playing soccer," and practicing walking with Grammy.
My happy mess of a toddler.
Holden is thrilled with any opportunity to wear the fire fighter rain boots that he got for his birthday. He loves tromping through "the mud piles," which he says instead of mud puddles. :) He does NOT, however, enjoy getting mud or anything messy on his hands. Never has! As exhibited in the far right picture. Crack me up.
How cute are they?!
The boys with Grammy, Papa, Great Granny, and Walter. We're so glad that they came to help us enjoy the beautiful day!
