Pool Days!

Another thing we love about summer is swimming! Holden has always loved water, although he has been hesitant to get it in his face or to go under water. He is doing a lot better with that this year. My best friend, Kara, got us into State Farm park recently. It is such a fun place! Mom kept Hunter, so it was just Holden, Kara, her little one, Corinne, and me. We had a great afternoon!

Corinne and her Mommy. Corinne is such a little peanut at one year old, but that doesn't slow her down. She is fiercely independent and also fearless, which keeps Kara on her toes. :) She and Holden are a lot alike in that they are both small, ornery, and always in motion.

Holden continues to take swim lessons at 4 Seasons. This summer he is in the Angelfish group with his instructor, Betty, who he really likes. She is a really nice, older woman who is a retired teacher. Just this past week, Holden had his first lesson with NO crying about going under water, and no prompting to jump in or put his head under. He even wanted to practice when I took him to the local pool later in the week! Yeah, Holden!

Some pics at one of our local pools, Fairview. This year he can do the Polar Bear slide all by himself! He is getting so big. He also LOVES the sand. Makes for one messy little boy at the end of the day! We take Aunt Allie and cousin Chelsey with us on the days that Allie babysits her. Holden adores both girls.

And finally, some pics of my happy little chub, Hunter, since this post mainly included Holden. I just can't get enough of his cheeks, chin dimple, and big, drooly smiles. LOVE HIM!
