Hunter is one month old!

Dear sweet Hunter,

Where, oh where, has a month gone already?? Mommy wants to slow time down. My youngest is growing so very quickly! You have completed our family, and we can't imagine life without you. I know you didn't really appreciate our little photo shoot much, but you did a good job humoring me. :) Here you are at 1 month old:

The shoes were a little big, but I thought they were so cute! You crossed your legs all on your own.

This picture cracks me up! For one thing, your brother looks HUGE with you, and he is really a peanut. For another thing, all you wanted to do was look at his ceiling fan. I gave up trying to get your head down. :) You are very determined and will attempt to lift it at any opportunity.

In the beanbag chair. At 1 month old, you weigh 9lbs, 15 oz, and are around 23 inches long! My big boy! You are starting to have a receding hairline, but still have tons of brown hair in the back. You are in size 1 diapers now, and just starting to fit some of your 3 month outfits! You can squeeze into newborn but they are getting tight, and 0-3 usually fit well.

Happy boy on your Bears rug. You are starting to give us little smiles, and they are so cute!!

Serious business on the couch.

Brothers: My two favorite little boys! This is how Holden says "cheese" right now. :)

Your big brother was showing you his muscles. :) You think he's pretty cool. But sometimes kinda weird.

A kiss from your brother. He adores you!

Great Grandma and Grandpa Kerber came by. I love these pictures with your Great Grandpa and you bonding.

They brought Cousin Emma with them. She and Holden attempted to hold you. Which was scary for you and me! :)

What else are you up to at 1 month old? Lots and lots of power naps to help you grow, loads of bottles, spending time in your baby seats, Boppy pillow, and swing, (when you are not being held by one of the many people who come see you!) and just looking adorable!

You are a BIG eater! Your Daddy said last night he thinks you'd drink 24/7 if you could! You are up to about 4 to 5 ounces at a time. You are drinking both breast milk and formula, as Mommy's supply can't keep up with your demand! If we don't get you a bottle fast enough, you are mad, mad, mad! You are generally laid-back, but don't mess with you when you are hungry! Your face turns beet red and you howl! You generally eat about every 2-3 hours, even at night. Mommy is really hoping you stretch those hours out before too long! But you usually go right back to sleep after you eat, so we do still sleep fairly well besides the feeding interruptions. Unlike your brother, you never had your days and nights mixed up. (Knock on wood!) You nap a lot during the day, but you go down about 10:00 every night and sleep well in your bassinet until around 5:30 or 6:00 when you get up to eat. You go back to sleep quite often after that, but Mommy doesn't get to sleep in with you because Holden is up and at 'em! :)

At 3 weeks, you caught a cold from your brother that has kept you congested and uncomfortable, poor buddy! You are NOT a fan of the bulb syringe and you HATE the Little Noses saline drops we have to use. Thankfully, you are on the mend and the Dr. said your lungs and ears look good. He said to tell Holden you will get him back when you are older!

You are starting to give us little smiles and to make little cooing noises when you are awake. They melt my heart! You are very alert when you are awake, and look around with huge blue eyes. You love to look at ceiling fans, lights, and dark and light contrasts, like the Bears border in your room. Your little mouth shapes into an "o" as you take in new things around you. I wonder what in the world you must be thinking of this big world?

Mommy, Daddy, and Holden love you so much! We can't wait to watch you grow! Just don't do it too quickly, okay?
