Swimmin', Smiles, and S'mores:What we've been up to this summer part 3!

Our house is small but cozy, and I love our neighborhood. One of the things that sold us on our home when we were out looking was the big backyard. We have a lot of room out there to play, lots of mature trees for shade, and a nice big privacy fence. I LOVE being able to go outside all summer! Here are some pictures of our backyard fun.
The Cunninghams came over after the Fun Run one night. Holden's little pool was full but the water was straight out of the hose; FREEZING! This shows how hot and sweaty they must have been from running; they hopped right in and proceeded to have some major squirt gun fights. Memaw got Holden some neat fire extinguisher squirters when she was in Florida.

The Scotts came, too, but Natalie preferred to watch the action. I love her "Home Alone" look as she watched those crazy boys! And I could eat Cade C. up with that slicked back hair look. He reminds me of the Godfather or something. Hilarious! Annie and I did a "baby swap;" I have Chase and she has Hunter.

We love making S'mores in our fire pit. This is the first summer Holden has been willing to try it. Now he realizes what he's been missing! He and Cade were our big S'mores eaters.

These are from another night when some neighbors came over. Hannah, Brady, Isabelle, and Holden enjoying their S'mores. Brady's favorite part is the marshmallows. Can you tell?

We are so blessed to have awesome neighbors! Lots of families with kids to play with, people willing to loan you a cup of sugar, help you jump start your van when it doesn't start, (from recent experience!), and everyone always smiles and waves when we are out. I have so many people tell us how lucky we are to live in such a friendly neighborhood, and I whole-heartedly agree. We don't take it for granted! Below are Hannah, Holden, and Brady in the hammock, the same three plus Kylie in the sandbox, our good friend, Kam, (Kylie and Brady's Mommy and our babysitter during the school year) holding a very smiley Hunter, Christine, Isabelle, her friend, Faith, and Hunter, and Christine's hubby, Geo, with Kylie, who is his little pal.

Loving the long, lazy summer days, evenings that stay light well past 8pm, catching fireflies, having cookouts, going barefoot, drinking lemonade, and spending loads of time with my babies. If only it could always be summer...
