I am finally finishing the park post. The other night Memaw (Jay's mom who we are fortunate enough to have living across the street and 4 houses down from us, along with Pepaw and Aunt Allie!) suggested we walk to a "nearby" park that we hadn't tried out. Well, as she and I can both attest, it is nearby if you are DRIVING, not pushing a stroller and then alternating pushing the stroller or carrying a 25 pound toddler since he doesn't want to ride in the stroller! Add a 90 degree evening to the equation and you can almost smell us!=o) The park was worth it though, it was really cool and different from the others around town. It had a nice toddler area, too. Aunt Allie rode her bike (smart girl) and met us there, much to Holden's delight. We had a great time, depleted his sippy cup and our water bottles, and agreed that next time we will definately drive...especially after we discovered on the first leg home that Holden had dropped something in his drawers and wasn't keen on sitting in it!!!! LOL, so is life with a 14 (almost 15!) month old.
