Had a great idea to take Holden to the Epiphany Church carnival tonight. It had all kinds of rides, face painting, games, and all the fair food you could wish for. (I admit to a corn dog, lemon shake-up, and part of Jay's funnel cake....does some of Memaw's cotton candy count since I just had a few bites?) We paid $14.00 for a wrist band for Holden so he could ride all the little kid rides with Aunt Allie. He then proceeded to spend the next hour and a half we were there trying to pull/bite it off his wrist. I think they put it on a little too tightly! He went down the big slide once, rode a dragon ride that Allie informed me was hotter than the 90 degree weather outside, ate part of a funnel cake, and was READY TO GO! So glad we purchased that wrist band for two rides! =o) Go figure. It was sooo hot and I had him in a very cute, preppy, not remotely breathable outfit that matched Jay, his cheeks were beet red, and he had that constant whine going on. I am posting the one picture from the carnival I deemed worthy of a post....and only because it's hilarious! Then you can see what we went home and did instead, which cost absolutely nothing. =o) Sometime it's just too hot!

Awww...sorry he didn't enjoy it for longer! The fair food sounds good right about now! :) He is adorable and I love all the fun stuff you do with him. You guys seem like such fun parents. By the way, did you see that Annie finally posted pictures on her blog? The link is on my blog if you need it. Also, you can edit a post after you publish it if you want to.
