Today Jay participated in the annual Torch Run that proceeds the local Special Olympics. The sheriff's deputies from McLean County as well as many other counties join together for a 20 mile run to honor this very worthy cause and to raise awareness. They begin at the county line, near Danvers, and end at the Clarion Hotel off Veteran's Parkway. He started this morning around 9:30am and finished around 3:15pm. Whew! The deputies take turns running and riding in the squad cars that accompany them, so Jay ran about 7 of the 20 miles. Which he said was plenty! =o) Tami (his mom) and I went to see them finish and I got some choppy footage that I'll post. Holden would have loved watching his Daddy finish but he was napping...thanks, Aunt Allie, for babysitting! We are very proud of you, Jay!

Katie,
I'm glad to see that you and Annie have started blogs. My sister Beth talks about you two all the time and now I'll be able to follow your life a bit and watch that adorable son of yours grow up!! He looks like you and Eric did when we were first friends with your parents 28 years ago!! Although he seems to look an awful lot like his daddy, too! You're a clever writer and I look forward to reading all about your life!! Tell your mom and dad hi from us!
